As your MP, Lorna Jean Edmonds will fight with PM Mark Carney to protect our communities, our farmers, our local businesses and workers from the threat of Trump's tariffs. Together we will keep Canada Strong.

What Canada needs for our country is leadership that has the experience and connections to make Canada even stronger.

Our future will be stronger by boldly investing in, building up and diversifying our infrastructure, defence, energy, health and well-being, and population base to fuel Canada’s productivity and economic prosperity, social safety net and commitment to one united Canada making the world better for all of us.

My goal for our communities in LGTIRL to be secure in our sovereign and independent Canada and for your communities to be livable, affordable, safe and enjoyable.

Together we will:

  • Protect workers affected by the tariffs with financial support and training

  • Address skilled labour shortages and enhance job satisfaction with new models of education, training and recruitment and the need for better community resources

  • Improve accessibility to affordable groceries, gas and more homes

  • Invest in, and as necessary diversify our business,  agriculture and tourism to create new and more clients, opportunities and higher paying jobs

  • Support our health, culture and well-being, particularly the vulnerable, seniors and children

  • Protect the natural environment and the region’s biodiversity

LJ will uphold the rights and self-determination of all of you, including women, disabled people, indigenous peoples and the 2SLGBTQ+ community as proclaimed in our laws and constitution now and into the future.
