General
I want to serve and give back and believe I have the practical skills, experience and communication style to deliver with and for you at this critical time.
I ran in the provincial election
I know the issues and concerns and the potential in this riding which is exciting as this is an amazing place
it was a positive experience in which we substantively increased our voter share across the region. They liked what we had to offer. I want to leverage that momentum
so many in the riding have encouraged me to run for the federal MP role!
my experience is very much aligned with the national agenda and the current leadership issues facing our riding and our nation
The current situation has brought to the top of our agenda the need for leadership that will listen to our communities, develop consensus, build connections and coalitions, identify partnerships at home, across our country and globally, and secure deals that grow our community from strength to strength socially and economically
I have an extensive and rewarding career
in community building, engagement and creating reliable partnerships leading to valued programs that made a tangible difference to many many thousands of people,
in engaging communities and governments at all levels, universities and colleges, industry, non-governmental and multilateral agencies, such as the United Nations, WHO, and the World Bank,
working across many sectors including education, health, environment, business, advanced technology and many others
I grew up and worked in Canada for most of my career while also having the opportunity to work in Ohio, the United States for 7 years prior to the pandemic. My work both in Ontario and Ohio enabled me to engage and work across Ontario, Canada and internationally with many cultures and distinct communities and leaders.
We can make a world of difference collaborating together, to bring Carney's vision to our communities while effectively representing your issues and concerns in the House of Commons and its committees with progressive and much needed policy change. I have the experience and would welcome being involved in policies close to our riding’s imperatives such as health and housing, training and education, agriculture and rural development, and research and innovation.
Like you I want a future of together we are Canada STRONG, SAFE and VIBRANT for our kids and grandkids.
Why Carney is right leader
with vision for a strong and united Canada; he has a plan to get there; and he has skills, energy and leadership needed for the job
bringing people together and consensus builder
can stand up competently to President Trump
understands the economy and can design and implement fresh new approaches to building economic success for Canada
understands the imperative for safeguarding the environment and biodiversity of the planet
Well connected globally to government leaders, the private and public sectors and multilateral agencies
staunch supporter of women, indigenous peoples, disabled peoples and 2SLGBTQ+ communities
Many of our communities are aging and struggling to make ends meet and our kids are seeking employment and opportunities outside of our riding. The looming tariff crisis with the United States is creating uncertainty for all of us and has placed extraordinary pressures on our companies and businesses. We are a border community to the US and value our relationships with our southern partners but see now how critical it is to build local resilience and capacity into our communities while diversifying our trading with partners and tourists.
As your MP, together, we will make Canada even stronger by safeguarding those who are being severely impacted by current issues while
investing in our health and social services and infrastructure
supporting our seniors, children and the most vulnerable,
building affordable housing, and
bringing down the cost of living.
Together, we will leverage our niche markets and lead the growth and diversification of the economic, environmental, and cultural strength of this breathtakingly beautiful riding’.
